Steve Michaelis – Zoning Inspector
Steve has been a resident of Woodville and Woodville Township for over 25 years. He has been a member of the Woodville Township Zoning Commission for 5 years, served as the Assistant Zoning Inspector for most of 2015, and was named the Zoning Inspector in December, 2015. Steve holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing Management from the University of Toledo. He is an area sales manager for the West Equipment Company in Toledo. He is a member of Solomon Lutheran Church in Woodville.
Steve is married to LuAnne Michaelis. LuAnne works for Edward Jones as a business office administrator. They have two children, Samantha and Arika. Samantha recently graduated from the University of Kentucky and is currently working in the medical research lab at the University of Kentucky. She plans to continue her education there and work towards her Master’s degree. Arika is currently attending Marshall University working toward a degree in Communications. She also performs in a couple of bands in the Huntington, West Virginia area.
Steve reports directly to the Woodville Township Trustees. His responsibilities include enforcing the Township Zoning Resolution, issuing zoning permits, maintaining permanent records, conducting property inspections as needed, and issuing notices of zoning violations.
Steve also meets with the Woodville Township Board of Zoning Appeals and the Township Zoning Commission and is a member of the Sandusky County Regional Planning Commission.
