Lori Kepus, Fiscal Officer – Term 2007 – 2028
A life-long member of Woodville Township, Lori began her term as Fiscal Officer of Woodville Township in February, 2007, when she was appointed by the Trustees to fill the unexpired term of the former Fiscal Officer. She was elected to four year terms in 2007, 2011, 2015, 2019, and 2023.
The Fiscal Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate, reconciled accounting records and must continually adhere to Ohio budgetary law to maintain the fiscal stability of the township. The Fiscal Officer also maintains an accurate recording of all minutes from the Trustee's meetings.
Lori works full-time for Woodville Township. Lori authored the Talk @ Woodville column in the News-Messenger from 1984 – 2007.
Lori is a 1981 graduate of Woodmore High School and holds two Associate Degrees from Owens Community College. Lori served on the Woodville 4th of July Committee and is a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Gibsonburg. Lori has three sons – Brandon, Jordan (Staci), Jacob (Alison) and four grandsons Reed & Connor and Mason & Logan.
Lori stays continually updated on township law and finances by attending the Ohio Township Conference, Local Government Officials Conference, and the Center for Public Investment Management. She served as the Secretary/Treasurer for the Sandusky County Township Association for many years.
Lori wrote a matching grant to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for the removal of all ash trees on township properties, a state grant for cemetery monument restoration, a state grant for new road safety signs, and various Issue II grants from the state for Road projects. Lori also serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the Issue II Joint Township Roads Repaving Projects for six townships.
